About Our Area

Lake Noquebay is located in Wisconsin's "Near North" region just a short distance north of Green Bay, WI and close to some of Wisconsin's most popular recreation areas. Our rental cabin is located just steps away from the Lake Noquebay County Park. The park offers a nice sand swimming beach, play equipment for the children and a public boat launch for the boating or fishing enthusiast. Lake Noquebay offers a full range of game fish from pan fish to trophy muskies. A full range of outdoor recreational activities are enjoyed in our area. Here is a list of just some of the activities available to you in the area:

ATV Trails
Marinette County offers approximately 130 miles of ATV trails.

Golf
Area golf courses offer a variety of course layouts with a wide range of difficulty levels.

Shopping
This area offers an abundance of antique and gift shops as well as art galleries and specialty shops for the avid treasure hunter.

Waterfall Tour
Marinette County is the Waterfall Capitol of Wisconsin. Many of them are easily accessible via county parks or forest lands that are yours to explore. - Map available.

Water Ski Shows
The Crivitz Ski Cats perform on a regular basis right here on Lake Noquebay.

Hunting
Our area offers both gun and bow season. Species include white tail deer, bear, wild turkey, grouse, woodcock and small game.

Snowmobiling
Area snowmobile clubs offer well maintained trails throughout the area.
Snowmobile rentals are available at Ski Hut Marine in Crivitz.

Bicycling
The "Menominee River Century Ride" and the "Tour de Colour" bicycling tours are held annually in June and September respectively. "Marinette County Scenic Bicycle Routes" is available by calling 1-800-236-6681.

Museums
The local Historical Society presents the Crivitz Area Museum Located nearby are the Crivitz Area Museum, the Peshtigo Fire Museum and Logging Museums in Marinette and Wabeno.

Whitewater Rafting
Local outfitters offer guided trips on the Peshtigo River and the Menominee River.

Dining
There are many fine restaurants in the immediate area to satisfy a variety of culinary tastes.

Fish Hatchery
The DNR Trout rearing station at Thunder Mountain is open to the public.

Fall Colorama
From mid-September to mid-October, come see the north woods aflame with color. Visit the Mountain Fire Tower for a spectacular view from above.
